Ode to the guy that waited
That waited 8 long years
Or was it 10 long years
Or I forget how many years

But he waited nonetheless
For what he thought was meant to be
And only slipped up once
And then came back to his senses

Waited for what was to be his
Beyond the shadow of his doubt
This girl he knew nothing about
On which he decided was worth it

Of persons unworthy
Trying to find her place
But continuously getting lost

She didn’t notice the 10 yrs go by
With this specific guy
She just knew he was always there
Regardless of what was going on

With this indeed unique girl

She had opened her eyes
And realized what was there
She used his chance to take a chance
And see what the fates had in store

Ode to the guy down on one knee
Asking for a wife to be
With his girl in complete surprise
He got what he was looking for
