51. I Listen

I shall listen when you speak
Because I think you talk from what you think is best
And it is quite possible I operate on pride

I don’t always believe you to act on unselfish motives
Or that your actions are the best ones for the situations

I often disagree
But I try and learn anyway

I shall listen when you speak
I shall try to remember your words
I shall observe their deeper meanings
And apply them to our lives
